This. This is what things look like on LSD. But for me it’s more like a layer of vision, like if you look at something indirectly it’s fine, but if you start staring at it, this vibrant pattern will be, um, not overlaid, but somehow coexisting with the seemingly solid object in question as it throbs and undulates in time to a hidden beat.
It’s not so much the fractals themselves, as something about the timing of the pattern - I’ve always thought of it as “breathing”, like the walls or ceiling are breathing rhythmically.
There’s a similar vibrancy pattern sometimes when I look at green growing things whilst on cannabis - except there the vibration seems to have more of a sound attached to it like “whomp whomp” and the plant seems to be more vibrant, like it’s trembling at an incredibly high and bright frequency.
Fractal GIFs make me feel weird.

“(Ability)Testing became all-pervasive partly as a defense of privilege in response to greater equality being won by the poor in affluent nations, and partly because of the perceived threat from poorer nations, from communism and from former colonies winning independence. It is clear today that latent inequalities in individual talent did not and do not exist and thus that categorising some children as innately talented discriminates on an essentially racist basis”
Yas! Talent is fucked
Happy birthday to this guy
